(#10) "Lizzie". Lab mix, female. Came in January 28, as a stray.  Energetic and adventurous, she needs an active family to help her burn all that energy.  D-0097. Photo 2-08 by Diane Ferguson.

(#11)."Desiree". Female Collie mix dumped here at the shelter February 21.  About 8 months old. Very friendly young dog.  D-0193.  Photo 2-08 by Diane Ferguson.

(#12) Paulanka". Adopted.

(#13) "Henry"

(#14) "Polly". A female Lab mix who was dumped with 10 babies on February 14.  She is gentle with a good disposition. Photo Feb. 14, 2008.

(#15) "Sparky". Fostered.  Reduced adoption fee.

(#105) "Bandit"  Fostered. Neutered Irish Setter mix, about a year old.  His owner has developed health problems and can no longer care for him. (Volunteer's Comments:
A blast! --he loves to play--plays fetch and can do it all day. Good with other dogs. When an aggressive dog attacked him, he took up for himself, but was not the instigator. He gets along with almost all the other dogs. He would be good with kids--has a super nice temperament. He came in with Jake, a long-time companion, but he could probably adjust to being without Jake better than Jake would adjust to not having Bandit. We hope they can be adopted together.) Fostered dogs are still available for adoption.  If interested, ask the shelter manager about this dog. D-0024.  Photo 1-13-08 by Diane Ferguson.

(#17)  "Allison". Brought in as a stray February 7 with her brother. They are about 4 months old.  She is friendly with a good disposition.  Photo February 9, 2008.

(#18) "Naomi".  A young female Beagle mix brought in as a stray February 1.  She is friendly and seems to be leash trained.  Photo Feb. 17, 2008, by Diane Ferguson.

(#19) "Stewie".

(#20) "Polo/Bruno. Polo was brought to us after being found abandoned alongside the road. The lady who took him in until she was able to bring him to us noted that he did really well with her dogs, and her goats and chickens. He is missing some toes on each of his hind legs; we think he may have been dragged behind a vehicle,  and he came to us with a few injuries, but he's recovering nicely. He has appeared with our volunteers on TV already, and loves to be a part of things. He would like to be a lap dog, but is a little large for that!  He might do best with a family without other male dogs, although he gets along well with the shelter dogs we've had him with.  Some of our volunteers call him Bruno, so he's known by both names.
